It was Peter’s birthday last week so the weekend before last we decided to head down to Waikanae for the weekend. We got a really nice beach house (suprisingly cheap, a lot less than a couple motel rooms, it’s the only way to go). Waikanae is about an hour north from Wellington on the west coast of the north island.
